Editorial Standards and Methodology

How RapidPoll sources stories and reports on surveys and public opinion.

Last updated Nov 7, 2026

Sourcing

We name our sources wherever possible. When we grant anonymity, we explain why and an editor knows who the source is.

Reporting on surveys

When a story cites a survey, we state who conducted it, who paid for it, when it was fielded, how many people took part, how they were selected, and the margin of error where one applies.

Online polls are not surveys

Open, self-selected online polls show what participants think. They are not scientifically sampled and do not represent the whole Philippine population. We label them clearly when we mention them.

Corrections

Errors of fact are corrected promptly, with a note at the end of the story describing what changed.
